I am lucky enough to have received design commissions from all over the world including Bali, Dubai, France and now Spain. This latest commission was I admit a bit of a challenge.

You see, sometimes the role of  a designer is less creative than you may think and instead more intuitive. With only virtual communication available it is imperative that briefs are accurately exchanged and the limited lines of communication are kept as wide open as possible. [..]

Deadlines…Friend or Foe?
Aug 2011 30

I have been thinking alot about deadlines recently….everyone knows that a designer’s life is ruled by timescales and deadlines but it struck me that not everyone is as used to working within a timeframe in the same way as I am. So I wondered what advice I could give to help others reach their targets. [..]

Personally I find this a real pleasure and whilst the pressure is no less than shooting for a stranger, at least the worry of forming a rapport with your clients is reduced.

Uffculme Sports & Fitness Launch

This Easter saw the launch of a really exciting new venture which I have been delighted to be involved with.

Uffculme School is a large school near Tiverton in Devon with an excellent reputation and facilities.

The decision was made by the governing body to utilise their state of the art gym facilities to a greater degree and open the Sports and Fitness Centre to the public as a business venture, increasing the school’s potential for self funding and relieving the education budget for the benefit of the students.
